Subject: Friends
Is it just me, or: Even though I've never met any of you personally, I feel like I've known each of you for a very long time, although it has only been weeks! What is it about this disease that compels us to open our hearts and souls to one another. It seems to create some very personal kinship that I find hard to explain. This disease is like a very powerful magnet that draws us together. Perhaps it's our individual suffering and social embarrassment that drives us to each other. Maybe it's the joy in our hearts that we feel as one of us is cured and the curse has left them. I don't know what it is, but I'm drawn in like a moth to a candle flame. I cherish each and every one of you. With each twitch and tug as a reminder that you are always there.
