Botox® Experiences - Vanessa McGehee
I had my first Botox® experience two years ago. The ENT was very nice and had never seen Hemifacial Spasm before. He injected about five spots around the left eye. I really didn't notice much of a difference. He said it would take 3-5 days before I noticed anything. I went back 3-4 times after that and each time we would try a few more injections in the cheek area. These visits didn't seem to help either. I tried another doctor (ENT) with no luck. He used a larger needle and wouldn't give me more than 4-5 injections, which I really didn't mind because they hurt.
So my opinion is that it was a waste of time and money. This doctor also had never seen HFS either. You would think a neurologist or someone familiar with HFS could give Botox®.
