Treatment History
Symptoms Experienced:
Started w/twitch over left eye, moved to below left eye, jumped down to left jaw and then involved entire left side of my face. Many months later it now involves left side of my neck/throat area as well. Spasms are intermittent. Can trigger them with a smile etc. but cannot stop them. Affects my vision greatly when spasms are happening. Disrupts my SLEEP!! Wake up feeling like someone is poking my face...only to find out it is spasms during my sleep. My speech is affected during spasms as well. My face now gets tired and painful from all of the spasms. Almost feels bruised along the 7th nerve line.
Medications Tried: None yet. Just finally got diagnosed a few weeks ago. Also being treated for Lyme disease which came on at same time. Lyme doc believes it is FROM the lyme...and says he hopes it might be eliminated by continued treatment for the lyme. Says several of his patients have seen those results! So..I am waiting but continuing my options investigation as well.
