Treatment History
Symptoms Experienced:
Started with twitching under my left eye, spread to entire eye closing, pulling my mouth and whole left side in spasm. Worse in stressful times or lying down at night to sleep.
Medications Tried: Started medication in 2003-Neurontin and Tegratol.
That helped but symptoms returned and started Garbapentin and then Carbamazepine in 2007
Alternative Treatments Tried:
Tried Chiroprator-did not help. Had accupuncture in 2002 which helped a lot and also helped with headaches. PT did cranial sacral massage which seemed to help

Botox Comments:
Had Botox in 2002. Stopped twitching but made my left side droop especially mouth and chin. Tried again in 2008. Left eye was noticeably more open than right and left lip drooped which made it somewhat difficult to speak and eat. Will not do it again.

My doctor does not want me to keep taking meds due to possible side effects. I am looking for an accupuncturist again as I think that is best treatment for me.
